Domans at odds over future of firm
Article Abstract:
Herb Doman, founder of Doman Industries Ltd., and his son Rick are favoring different proposals that aim to restructure the debt-laden company. Though, Herb is supporting a restructuring proposal by Vancouver-based International Forest Products Ltd. (Interfor) that would allow Herb to preserve some of the value of his assets, Rick stated that he is open to a rival proposal, which would leave the company intact, but offer nothing to shareholders of Doman, including the family.
