For the love of sport: Special Olympians compete in Calgary

The 1996 Canadian Special Olympics Winter Games features 700 athletes with mental disabilities who compete in six sports such as skiing, skating and field hockey. The games encourage participation and a sense of accomplishment. The Special Olympics were founded in 1968.
