AT&T tries to keep balance
Article Abstract:
AT&T's high-risk bid to build a nationwide Internet and local phone service network has encountered some bumps with the resignation of Leo Hindery as CEO of AT&T Broadband & Internet Services. Hindery's departure reflected his differences with the long-distance giant's top management, including CEO Michael Armstrong. Hindery joined AT&T in Mar 1999 when AT&T acquired Tele-Communications Inc for $59.4 billion.
