The rising rate of the dollar has proved to be beneficial for many travelers who wish to explore foreign shore but exporters may suffer because of this rise and this could seriously affect the entire economy, which has shown positive signs of growth. Though the Australian economy is however quite well protected against exchange rate crises, immediate steps should be taken to ensure rise in the investment that will help increase the purchasing power of the citizens.

Many credit the floating exchange rate system, but others believe the economy, despite its recent successes, performed below the era of Bretton Woods and fixed exchanged rate system. The Australian success during the Asian crisis may have been the result of having the right government and central bankers.
