The auto manufacturer Ford Motor Co., with its warning to close more plants in North America, has made it clearer that the company's Essex engine plant in Windsor, Ont., will be shut down. The company's two new sport utility vehicles will not be built in Windsor plant.

New vehicle prices jump 3% in 2002

Ford wants aid for new plant
