Ford cuts back N.A. production

Ford Motor Co. announced stringent new production cutbacks, affecting 36,000 workers in North America. The company will begin phasing in plant shutdowns next month. Production at Oakville, Ont.'s Windstar minivan and F-Series truck plants, and St. Thomas, Ont.'s assembly plant will be stopped the fourth week of January.

Vehicle sales remain flat in February
