Proposals for a natural gas pipeline between Vancouver Island and Washington State and plans for natural gas-powered electricity plants have created environmental concerns among citizens of the British Colombia island. The Georgia Strait Crossing (GSX) Concerned Citizens Coalition is lobbying against the projects.
