Hand-helds, plain and fancy
Article Abstract:
The Handspring Visor Prism has a screen that renders 65,000 colors. If you need a small image display device this is it. Unlike traditional black and white PDAs, however, the Prism's battery pack must be recharged a couple times a week. Sony's Clie is designed to compete with the slim mat-aluminum Palm Vx, while offering a slot for Sony's proprietary Memory Stick. A later model will offer a color screen. For basic PDA functions, the Palm m100 remains the best deal.

Mousetrap or Palmtop, the quest never ends
Article Abstract:
Sony's $300 Clie PEG-T415 is a well-designed personal digital assistant that sets an industry standard for compactness and user appeal. The PDA is designed to accommodate a Memory Stick memory card of up to 64MB, a digital camera peripheral, or an audio adapter for playing MP3 files. The only drawback of this otherwise exemplary product is the poor resolution of its grayscale screen display.
