Home Building Keeps Driving The Economy
Article Abstract:
The Dept. of Commerce reports that Dec. 2003 new home construction achieved an annual rate of 2.09 million. New homes reached 1.85 million in 2003, an 8.4% increase above figures for 2002. The Dec. 2003 rate was an unexpected 1.7% increase over Nov. 2003 and a 15% rise above new houses in Dec. 2002.
