Australia's Prime Minister John Howard has always learned from his mistakes and success of others, moving from an ungainly politician into a greatest among leaders. His treasured souvenirs is a small shifting spanner given by Dame Pattie Menzies, in1987, when he was a opposition leader and when things were going wrong, he treasured it and carried it everywhere he went and did not forget the words of Pattie 'keep on working away', which helped him be a Prime Minister and remained for a decade through work and persistence.

John Howard is busy throwing around millions of dollars and the big budget handouts are transparently aimed at winning votes. The cash that would flow into millions of households is intended to bolster the government's prospects in an election in which Howard is feeling seriously at risk, with a generous packages of measures benefitting small businesses to be produced closer to the poll.
