Big Brother is talking
Article Abstract:
China has an estimated 30,000 to 40,000 e-police who collectively serve as an Orwellian Big Brother for the country's nearly 100 million Internet users. E-police proactively influence Web content in ways beneficial to the regime and pre-empt citizens from organizing politically, aiming to stifle dissent and control the free flow of information, and increasingly, to shape public opinion in cyberspace.
