I was about to die
Article Abstract:
John Martinkus, an Australian journalist for SBS Network who had visited Iraq to report on the occupation reveals about how he was kidnapped at gunpoint from outside a hotel in Baghdad and his experiences in captivity. The Iraqi Mujahidien had mistakenly kidnapped him assuming that he was a CIA agent or a member of Mossad, the Israeli secret service. The hotel that was thought safe from attack proved to be insecure and riddled with spies for the resistance and many journalists have since declared that they cannot work further in Iraq and were leaving.
