IRAQ ILLICIT ARMS GONE BEFORE WAR, INSPECTOR STATES
Article Abstract:
Former CIA chief weapons inspector David A. Kay gave an interview to Reuters and conveyed his belief that there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Even his successor, Charles A. Duelfer has doubts that the continuing US investigation will uncover any weapons. Although the Bush administration continues to insist publicly the US will find stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, there are indications that White House insiders know the president might face a political liability in a presidential election year since he wanted to rely on misleading and inaccurate intelligence information.
