Imax buys high-tech projector maker
Article Abstract:
Motion picture projector manufacturer Digital Projection International (DPI) has been acquired by Imax Corp. Industry sources estimated Digital's purchase price to be between $25 million and $30 million. DPI, which has divisions in Manchester, England and Kennesaw, GA, will become a subsidiary of Imax. Imax decided to acquire DPI after DPI received an unsolicited acquisition bid from another firm.

Yukos at brink after missing tax deadline
Article Abstract:
OAO Yukos, the Russian oil giant missed a deadline for paying a multibillion-dollar tax bill that put the Moscow state in a position to seize the company's assets. Many of the Canadian business in Russia were not affected by the turmoil surrounding Yukos.
