In a push for ratings, a TV sitcom about the 70's plans to rerun ads from the disco decade
Article Abstract:
For television's May 'sweeps' period, Fox Broadcasting will show commercials from the period, and during "That 70's Show" for one night only. A character may be watching an ad on the show, but the ad will be run in its entirety. Advertisers such as Volkswagen, Dr. Pepper, Coca-Cola, KFC and Excedrin seem excited to be re-running vintage commercials, paying their regular $150,000 for a half-minute.
