Inco raises quick cash on sale of 15 million common shares

Inco Ltd has raised C$412.5 million before expenses by selling 15 million common shares. Buyers of the shares, RBC Dominion Securities Inc and Credit Suisse First Boston Securities Canada Inc, are expected to resell the shares to institutions at C$27.50 and $19 apiece. The nickel producer said it will use the proceeds to repay debts that it had incurred to fund capital spending in Indonesia, northern Ontario and New Caledonia.
