Article Abstract:
Toyota Motor Corp. President Hiroshi Okuda announces that the company is satisfied with its existing production operations in Canada, therefore, boosted capacity or addition of a third model of car are not needed. At present, the company has no further investment plans in Canada, added Okuda. Toyota Motor's 50,000-car-per-year Cambridge, Ontario, factory, which commenced operations in 1988, has just realized a C$1-billion expansion that increased output to 200,000 cars annually. Currently, the same facility manufactures the mid-sized Camry Solara coupe and the compact Corolla.
