Insurance could save renters hefty deposit
Article Abstract:
Irvine, CA-based Predictive Data is offering property damage insurance to a rental market estimated at 35 million. Deposit Saver allows a renter to avoid giving out a substantial security deposit by paying only $17 a month, or $204 a year, as protection premium for house or apartment damage. Renters benefit from reduced move-in costs and minimal initial cash outlay. Since the premiums are permanent, landlords are also assured of a regular damage deposit.
