Internet providers complain about Bell
Article Abstract:
Bell Canada's way of pricing its high-speed Internet access service is being questioned by a six Internet service providers (ISPs) in Ontario before the Competition Bureau. The group of ISPs wants the bureau to start an inquiry into how much Bell's Bell Sygma Inc. unit charges clients for its assymetrical digital subscriber line, or ADSL, service. Bell's prices are C$130 a month below cost, according to the group. Bell Canada Spokesman Don Hogarth defended the firm, saying it is simply a supplier of ADSL services that offers regulated wholesale prices to all ISPs.
