Attorney hopes for $1B in McDonald's french fry suit
Article Abstract:
McDonald's faces a class-action lawsuit for misrepresenting the contents of its US-made french fries as meatless. The attorney representing both non-Hindu vegetarians and Hindu vegetarians who do not eat meat for religious reasons, is hoping to recover $1 billion from the class-action lawsuit. The target of the lawsuit is McDonald's claim that it uses no beef or pork flavorings in its fries in India or in Muslim countries. In fact, there is a trace of beef flavoring in its potatoes, added at the processing plant.
