Article Abstract:
Earthquest Inc introduces Earthquest Explores Ecology, a $59.95 educational software package, which is actually a kind of a data base, for the Apple Macintosh. Earthquest Explores Ecology is a Hypercard-based program that teaches principles of ecology and environmental protection using images and sounds. The program, which comes with HyperCard 2.1, has five parts: EcoExplorer, the Renegade Tour, the Rainforest, the EcoSimulator and the Carrot Cruiser. These units cover material relating to everything from ecosystems, such as rainforests, to vegetables and animal sounds. Users familiar with HyperCard can customize the program and a Workshop option allows existing screens to be altered. Minimum configuration requirements include a hard disk, System 6.05 and at least 1Mbyte of RAM.
