Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien and top business leaders plan to visit India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia in Jan 1996, on a trade mission. However, most of these trade missions have resulted in too much ceremony and not enough substance. Firms should negotiate their own foreign contracts.
