Iraqi revival takes hit as pipeline is blown up
Article Abstract:
One of Iraq's major natural gas pipelines was damaged by a huge explosion, raising doubts about the country's ability to revive its economy. The explosion came just a few hours after Iraq shipped its first oil exports since the U.S. invaded in March 2003.

Six British soldiers were killed in Iraq when they were attacked by guerrillas in the town of Amarah. Eight other soldiers were wounded in the attack against Allied occupation forces.
