Ocelot pulling out of Western Canada
Article Abstract:
Ocelot Energy Inc. has inked a C$126-mil sale agreement with NAL Resources Management Ltd. as part of its strategy to pull out from Western Canada. The sale, which includes all remaining Western Canadian properties, will enable the company to fund its international holdings in Kazakstan, Gabon, Tanzania and Cameroon. Moreover, the sale will also enable the company to pay its C$39-mil debt and secure it with much needed cash reserves.

Natural gas prices slide by 10%

Prices of natural gas fell by 10% after a report of a weekly inventory level increase by the U.S. Department of Energy. Prices fell to US$5.60 per million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Landmark Arctic gas pipeline deal reached

TransCanada Corp. has reached a deal with aboriginal natives for a 5 billion Canadian dollar natural gas pipeline in Canada's Northwest Territories. Under the deal, the natives will own one-third of the pipeline.
