Ottawa, provinces move to open supply contracts: Agreements allows to open nationwide bids

Ottawa and the provinces agreed to open up an estimated $20-billion in annual Crown corporation supply contracts to bids from across Canada as part of a deal to break down internal trade barriers across the country on December 6, 2004. The agreement means any company would be free to bid on purchasing contracts for more than 100 federal and provincial Crown corporations, boards and agencies.

Iogen in talks to build ethanol plant in Canada
