Guidebooks, restaurant guides, and novels are available in downloadable file format. Map publishers have offerings designed for the hand-held sized screen. A traveller's options expand with a subscription to a wireless online service. These often include the above services, with the added possiblity of more frequent updates. Finally, as added insurance, a user can register their portable electronic devices at Web sites and sticker them with a "Reward if returned" label that includes the service's contact information.

Messiah is a 3-D action game where the player, as the character Bob, tries to win their way through successive levels of a post-apocalyptic industrial landscape. Bob has the ability to inhabit the body of the other characters he encounters, a trait that when successfully executed, will give him the skills he needs at that moment. Other times, he is on his own, and uses his small stature to advantage. There is strong language and some violence in this game. Earlier versions had bugs and conflicts with certain hardware components which Interplay has worked to resolve. Messiah in the end is an amusing diversion, without the over the top senseless violence of some of its rivals in the genre.
