Article Abstract:
Hollinger International directors were left with the impression that the buyers of papers in the controversial non-competition payments had pushed for the terms of the non-competition agreement. Officials of both CanWest and Osprey Media Group Inc., having bought the vast majority of Hollinger International's Canadian publishing assets, stated that while their companies demanded the inclusion of non-competition agreements, they had no input on the purchase price of payments.

CanWest sells broadcast interests
Article Abstract:
CanWest Global Communications Corp. divested some broadcasting assets in Toronto and Montreal to rivals within the industry. In one of the deals, CanWest sold its 70% share in Montreal television station CFCF to CTV Inc. for C$90 million.
