Political Flood Starts to Wash Across Missouri
Article Abstract:
Missouri may be conducting a Democratic presidential primary on Feb. 3, one of seven planned on that date, but voters seem relatively apathetic now that favorite son Richard Gephardt has dropped out of the race. State Democratic leaders are trying to act on endorsements to generate interest led by former Sen. Jean Carnahan who has endorsed John Kerry. They have organized a campaign debate for next Monday night and are hoping that mass media communications and advertising will persuade undecided voters to respond to the candidates.

Kerry and Edwards Get Second Looks In New Hampshire
Article Abstract:
Democratic presidential candidates John Kerry and John Edwards are using their first and second place finish in the Iowa caucuses to give them special momentum one week before the New Hampshire primary. Both candidates were considered distant choices for voters as Howard Dean appeared to be in the lead in Iowa. Dean's continuing struggle to regain his momentum remains a blessing for Kerry and Edwards.
