Quebecor Printing extends offer for World Color
Article Abstract:
Quebecor Printing Inc has made a move to extend its offer to acquire World Color Press Inc for $1.4 billion until Aug 19, 1999, following the company's failure to obtain a 50.1% vote from the Greenwich, CT-based printing company's shareholders before the deadline on Aug 12, 1999. Under the terms of the deal, which would make Quebecor the largest commercial printer in the world, Quebecor wants to acquire a minimum of 50.1% up to 62% of World Color's stock for $35.69 per share in cash.
