Videotron head slams Quebecor proposal

Montreal, Que.-based Quebecor Inc. is attempting to acquire Groupe Videotron Ltee, which is a cable television company. Videotron, which is led by chief executive officer Claude Chagnon, is fighting the $5.88 billion takeover attempt by Quebecor and Montreal, Que.-based Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec.
