Record cost overrun hits Syncrude
Article Abstract:
Syncrude Canada Ltd. has experienced the biggest cost overrun in the history of the oil sands; having its latest expansion with a cost of $7.8-billion, nearly double the original estimate. It is expected that the expansion will boost its upgrader capacity and add 100,000 barrels a day of output.
