Redknee finds wireless sweet spot

Redknee Inc. has expanded from its four co-founders in 1999 to a staff of about 300 while it is also found to boost annual sales of close to $40-million and a profit in excess of $4-million. Redkee garners 90% of its revenue from abroad by serving some big wireless companies in the world like Vodafone group PLC of Britain Cingular wireless LLC of Atlanta.

Nortel warns sales in quarter will be even lower than forecast

Nortel Networks Corporation had warned that the revenue and growth rate would not keep pace with the speed of the telecommunication equipment industry's overall expansion. Nortel stated that the revenue in the existing quarter would actually decline below the estimated sales worth of $2.6 billion.

Telus profit jumps thanks to big wireless gains

The Burnaby, B.C.-based telecom's second-quarter profit in 2004 rose to $172.3 million from $73 million in 2003 as the company added more than 1000,000 new wireless customers. The profit jump came despite a decline in the company's traditional fix-line phone business.
