Reform must be listened to now

The Reform Party's strong showing in the Jun 1997 elections won the party official opposition status and thrust party leader Preston Manning into a prominent role in Canadian politics. He has many good qualities, but he sometimes resorts to old-style political tactics that undermine his agenda.
