Australia's federal Liberals have adopted the slogan 'Heading in the right direction,' which was first used by Queensland Premier Peter Beattie as he began the Labor Party's campaign for the state election in Feb 2001. Federal Liberal director Lynton Crosby states that Labor cannot really claim to own the slogan because it used another in most of its election material and direct mail.
