Russia considers production cut

The Russian government, which has been under pressure from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, has agreed to cut production to slow the decline in crude petroleum prices. OPEC, which will cut production by about six percent on January 1, also has secured an agreement from Norway to cut oil production.
