Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) decided to squeeze more people into less office space as a measure to reduce the overhead of its Vancouver operations, instead of cutting staff. For the past few years, RBC had occupied four floors, totaling to 68,000 square feet at the Park Place tower but the same number of people now share 52,000 square feet.
