The Fox television network is building a Web site which would should videos that are too controversial and outrageous to be presented on broadcast TV. The site, called TooHotForFox.com, will enable Internet users to see whatever video they want to see and whenever they want to see them. News Digital Media pres Jon Richmond said the site provides a look into what television could look like and provide in the future. The site is intended to generate revenues from advertising.

UPN:AOL abuses its cable power
Article Abstract:
Time Warner Cable has refused to carry low-power UPN affiliates in Cincinnati and Syracuse, Rochester and other smaller communities in New York. Instead Time Warner is paying to import UPN via satellite from Boston-based superstation WSBK.

Score two for speedier Internet

America Online Inc has launched its plans to offer interactive TV and Internet services with satellite companies DirecTV and DirecPC. The company said that it will invest $500 million to develop and market a high-speed version of AOL transmitted via satellite to DirecPC subscribers. In another deal, America Online will develop a two-way Internet service called Spaceway with Hughes Electronics.
