Shell kick-starts drilling at Peace River oil sands properties

Calgary, Alb.-based Shell Canada Ltd., which is an oil and gas company, has announced it will invest $50 million in its northern Alberta Peace River oil sands project. Shell Canada expects to produce 12,000 barrels of oil per day at the site.
