Some eBay clients slam site's plan to accept retail ads
Article Abstract:
Irate eBay clients are against the online auction company's plan to accept advertisements from major retail chains. A main attraction of eBay to sellers is the chance to sell goods without competition from big corporations. However, sellers may be driven out of business once eBay continues with its plan to link banner ads to search terms. For instance, a search for toasters or garden displays an ad with a link to Ace Hardware's online store. However, eBay's Kevin Pursglove said the plan would increase the company's revenues.
