Spotty service irks cellphone users
Article Abstract:
Cellphone users are complaining about the poor service given by wireless companies. Among them is Todd Tamminga who says he uses pay phones in making important calls to his clients rather using his AT&T Wireless service. In 1999, the FCC received almost 8,000 telephone inquiries about wireless service and the number of inquiries may rise by 100% in 2000. A few dissatisfied customers have sued their phone companies, with one subscriber being awarded $1,000 in a small-claims court.
