United slashes fares, waives fuel charge
Article Abstract:
United Airlines has launched substantial price discounts, as much as 55% and relinquished new fuel surcharges on the discounted fares. United said the discounts supplement frequent-flier miles and other inducements given to fliers who have been displeased with the airline because of its continuing delays and flight cancellations. Discounts of 15% to 25% on international fares were given while the biggest discounts were provided on domestic flights.
