Members of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia were asked to forecast the price of oil one year from now. Sandy Rintoul predicted a per barrel price of $US28.40 while John Doughty predicted a $US25 per barrel price for West Texas Intermediate crude. Tables illustrating Petro Price Predictions and the Speculator's Portfolio are included.

Amadeus Energy a small but established oil and gas producer from a spread of projects in Texas and Oklahoma put together over the past eight years would bring in a biodiesel project in Adelaide to produce fuel from tallow, waste cooking oils and canola. Meanwhile, 13 development wells on Amadeus' Racoon Bend field in Texas are being started.
