Sun Life suspends endowment mortgage business in U.K

Toronto, Ont.-based Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada has announced that it will temporarily withdraw from United Kingdom's long-term endowment mortgage industry. Sun Life, which will return to the endowment mortgage business by the summer, has been hurt by declining economic conditions in the United Kingdom.

London Life customer sues to reclaim $180-million
