Suncor chief favours growth from within

Suncor Energy Inc has dismissed speculations that the company has resumed merger talks with Petro-Canda. Suncor Pres and CEO Richard George said that the company prefers to grow internally because mergers do not serve the interests of the shareholders and workers. The company runs a chain of Sunoco gasoline stations and is planning to expand its oil sands facility near Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Who profits from $41 crude? More than just oil companies
Article Abstract:
The high shocks of oil prices in the year 2004 as going to $41 a barrel are making much of the consumers to switch to gasoline cars, which is hitting to $1 liter. Expensive energy is expected to hit consumers and companies alike but some consumers switching to gasoline cars are termed as beneficiaries.
