Survival instinct makes way for a knight in shining armor
Article Abstract:
Four recent action games feature female protaganists. Dino Crisis earned the highest marks for its lead, Regina. She is a capable, but vulnerable, woman, with an athletic appearance. No One Lives Forever is noteworthy for its sense of humor. The last two games, Alien Resurrection and Tomb Raider: Chronicles are workmanlike efforts, but the game characters Ripley and Lara were either too distant or too slick looking. Alien Resurretion is available for Playstation only; No One Lives Forever is PC only; the others can be played on Sega, Sony or Windows machines.
