The Toronto Stock Exchange under a section of the company manual in March 2004 would consider reviewing the bid made by Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. for Allstream Inc. Under the section of the manual the exchange might require shareholder approval before allowing the company to issue new shares.

DVD players have transformed from a luxury to a commodity product in Canada, which are available at all retailer shops. According to Consumer Electronics Marketers of Canada statistics, approximately 30,000 players were sold to Canadians in 1997, which shot up to 1.98 million units in 2002.
