Article Abstract:
In 1999 the American Civil Liberties Union signed an advertising contract with New York City agency DeVito/Verdi. It is the ACLU's first ad contract with a consumer agency. The print ad features photographs of Martin Luther King Jr. and Charles Manson and takes on the much-publicized issue of racial profiling.
