Torstar profit up; ad linage declines

Toronto, Ont.-based Torstar Corp., which is a newspaper and book publisher, has reported $38.3 million in profit for the second quarter. Torstar, which produces the Toronto Star newspaper, said that newspaper advertising revenues fell due to the SARS outbreak.

Onex posts loss in second quarter
