Vodafone bids for AT&T wireless
Article Abstract:
Vodafone Group PLC, that offers mobile-phone services in much of Europe and Japan, wishes to acquire AT&T Wireless Services Inc. with an aim to extend its brand and services into the US. Vodafone, the world's largest wireless carrier by revenue, made a bid of about $35 billion or roughly $13 a share for AT&T Wireless Service Inc.
