Workers bag new perk with shopping on the job
Article Abstract:
Some companies are offering their employees an opportunity to shop at work. Employers such as Microsoft, Northwest Airlines, 3M and Nordstrom are allowing their time-pressed workers to use desktop computers to shop online at discounted prices. The benefit is the latest perk offered by employers in a bid to retain employees in a tight labor market. The program also ensures that workers stay longer at the office.
